Coiled TUBING · well control device
Well control device is another key part of coiled Tubing operation. A typical coiled tubing well control device includes a BOP stack (BOP) and a BOP box connected to the upper part of the BOP (there are usually two BOPs and one standby BOP for high-pressure coiled tubing operations). All these devices must consider their pressure rating and suitable temperature range when operating on site. The blowout preventer is equipped with sealing elements, which are used to isolate the pressure system in the wellbore. They are usually installed between the BOP and the injection head. There are two types of seals for the blowout preventer: dynamic seal and static seal. The blowout preventer is designed as a side door type to facilitate the replacement of the sealing elements of coiled tubing when it is in the well.
Pup Joints are used to adjust the height of full length tubing or Casing strings.
They are also used to adjust the depth of downhole tools.
