The downhole safety valve is a control device for abnormal flow of fluid in the well, such as the oil well out of control caused by fire, pipeline rupture, blowout and earthquake on the offshore oil production platform. In this way, the downhole safety valve can automatically close to control the flow of fluid in the well.

The most commonly used safety valve for Casing annulus safety valve is tubing portable safety valve
2) Principle of action
Pressurize on the ground, and the hydraulic oil is transmitted to the piston through the pressure hydraulic control pipeline, pushing the piston downward and compressing the spring to open the valve. If the hydraulic control pressure is maintained, the safety valve is open; Release the pressure of the hydraulic control pipeline, push the piston upward by the spring tension, and the valve plate is closed.
Pup Joints are used to adjust the height of full length tubing or CASING strings.
They are also used to adjust the depth of downhole tools.
